Claude has been frustrating for me also even with the tool/ pretend human approach.

If I pay someone to, say, bounce ideas off of I would expect their continued participation

E.g.

I make craft and was stuck on some shape idea for a thing (non standard). So I figured I'd throw it in Claude and see if it generates an idea I didn't think of

Me: Hey I'm making a thing what's a good shape for it?

Claude: blah blah, shape 1 or shape 2 etc.

Me: Nah don't like any of those

Claude: K cool, good luck

Me:...

It seem like their goal is to train your behavior by forcing you to interact with Claude in the "correct" way

That's a false equivalence. The fact that the question is sparking a strong emotional response should indicate its pointing at something real and worth discussing

There's this stigma towards AI in certain things that I find interesting. In your case was the weirdness (the uncanny valley area) due to the AI using Feynman's voice? Would it still be weird if it used a different voice?

The AI generation in this case is a tool to convert text to voice, one of the best use cases of this technology IMO

What toothpaste do you buy? or shoes, or medicine? Your friends? I've bought Advil and generic Ibuprofen. Same with other known brands of general products.

Maybe not always or even mostly but when tired or getting the basics humans tend to go for what they recognize.

Especially noticeable when travelling and there are choices we are not used to seeing and we see the one brand we recognize.

Making the ads clickable is utilizing the real estate.

(scams that rely on you clicking for nefarious purposes are just scammers being scammers, there will always be scams)

The volatility of the administration is a real concern, and it's motives are upsetting at times. Looking at the market in space, mining could be very lucrative and as costs keep coming down there should be more launches.

Lack of international competition here is actually working against them here

"I was skeptical of Amazon early on too. But they had a couple of things going for them that SpaceX doesn't have: one was a huge potential market. People were already buying books, Amazon made it easy to do from your home, with next day delivery. The other was that Amazon had no competition in that space"

I mean these are both valid for SpaceX also, take out the execution and technological difficulty. There is a huge potential market in space, and they're is practically no competition

It's not about better or worse. I think it's important to understand the actual situation first so that we may argue the on the issue at hand. Embargo and blockade are at different levels of escalation. Now we can discuss that the embargo and advocate for de-escalation

Precise writing is good, simple writing is better. Writing is a tool of communication, it is also an art. Art can be open to interpretation, documentation should not be open to interpretation. As a tool writing can be boring and repetitive to reduce alternate interpretations, this may result in being less precise with words and reinforcing a concept with simpler repetitive sentences
