Too bad. We'll have to deal with it. There is no way to stop the weaponization of models now.
But more people having access to the potential tools for defensive is the best possible scenario.
Every other scenario is worse off for everyone except for those with enough money to do something about it.

Is the major issue here that 3 degrees Celsius is like an average so all the hot tropics places just become uninhabitable whereas temperature rises are more moderated in higher latitudes?
Also how much faster and higher will that number go with all the data centers? Can't imagine it not just getting worse.

I think the majority of dev work will be gone. We already demonstrated just throwing more compute at it is leading to better and better results. We'll likely have advancements that make it so regular people that ask the right questions and are diligent can do end-to-end app creation and management. I think it's also likely that standardizations for security and account management and compliance will just become skills or other types of automations that the drastically more competent agents of 2027-2028 can simply utilize.
It is seeming less and less unlikely for this to happen.
So many businesses right now online you can simply have Claude Fable copy and implement in an hour. That'll probably scale up as well in the future. I just cloned Piano Marvel earlier today in an hour and added missing features that I really wanted on the site that aren't there.
I think society will be a lot crappier for people that don't already have assets and investments that outpace inflation.

"In fact, all evidence points to the contrary."
Um. No? I'd like to see how you conjured up that one. Because evidence does indeed point exactly to things just being as they are.
"You have objective value being made in the image of a personal God."
Conjecture. Unsubstantiated.
"Denying that leads to a lot of pain, namely nihilistic suffering because it's on you to "pull yourself up by the bootstraps" in any endeavor involving your own self-worth."
No? Sounds like you're projecting your own belief here. "If I didn't believe in God, then what purpose is there to anything?" It's very small of a belief.
