And nobody gives a fuck at work anymore.

Directives want results, positive numbers and growth. How well done is and the queality of the product is something trivial.

Until february/april I was super dead serious about the quality of my apps and my code, I was super strict and always looking for excellence and quality. But people were delivering shit faster than me and someone who doesnt give a fuck about anything of this just got promoted. So now i just let opencode do my work while I watch and play dota in the background. I deliver faster and nobody has ever talked about quality of my code or the ellegance of it.

I still programming by hand in my personal projects, but in corporative projects? Fuck it, i'll let the llm do my job until it lasts and Ill watch the world burn.

Yep. It's supposed to be an entry level one. Ligustrum sinensis. In my old house had like 8 hours of direct sun and right now it only has like 2... I don't know what to do anymore.

My colleagues gave me a bonsai when I left the company. I loved it and it was georgeous. When I switched to my actual house, the bonsai felt it and started to dry out. I could not stop it, and even transplanting it to better soil and placing him in another room. It never went up. Right now I don't know if its alive anymore, and makes me very sad.

Usually, some people change their .env files in the root of the project to inject the credentials into the code. Those .env files have the credentials in plain text. This is "safe" since .gitignore ignores that file, but sometimes it doesn't (user error) and we've seen tons of leaks because of that. Those are the variables and files the llms are accessing and leaking now.

The internet is built the wrong way, using emails and passwords, users and recovery links. Here is the solution, an app that uses your email and uses a password to create a user name but has no recovery link. That's the advantage.

What nobody says is that, face blindness is a protection mechanism from our brain for protecting ourselves from losing our minds. When you see your friends growing up and don't remember when you were kids, or when you see the kids at school and you think 'they are younger than I were when I was in there', that's your brain using this mechanism. Forgiving all the faces that we had back then, so we don't feel so much like growing and getting old. That's why your family will always look like they are right now, and you need to make an effort to remember them when you were kids, and remember them in their kid form.

It's not about being rich or not, it's about working hard to have a simple life. If you take a look into all those people who are not having kids, usually is because their work and balance in life needs to be like that. If you have a kid, it will lag your career and probably will stop the way you make more money each year, by growing up or scaling up in your company.

Talking about something being worshiped as a religion but not talking about how it alienates you, then makes me wonder that he does not understand religion as is, and he does not read a lot about religions.

Sadly, to reach interstellar travel and galactic survival we need to past this capitalism era. There is no advance into those topics without reaching "found without economic compensation". There is a mod that finds economic value in space with some random iron satellites and all... but it's final target has some bugs.

As a 13 owner (only thinkpad 13, nobody talks about it but I think is one of the best pieces of hardware I have ever owned) this would be fantastic. I would love to have my 13 for life. I don't know if my 13 is able to be upgraded like a desktop PC like other thinkpads, but adding a carbon fiber chassis would be like fresh air.

I don't have any specific book on the topic. But you can find homeostasis in almost any scientific medical book. From 'principles of internal medicine', 'acquiring gnomes' or even the magnificent Sapolsky's 'why zebras dont get ulcers'. They all have chapters about homeostasis and the principles of balance in everything.

In the first year or psychology you learn a lot of words and scientifical language. One of those words you learn is the "homeostasis". Which means the balance between highs and lows and how crucial is for a healthy life. You can study it in basic conditioning (a balance between stimuly, or you can create learned helplessness), in personality (a balance between happyness and depression makes you happier than the happiest person in the world), neuropsychology... and any other field with the same theory behind. So yeah, having balance between everything in your life is the most important thing you can achieve.

This is a good question. Some user made a good list in superuser https://superuser.com/questions/236158/tmux-vs-screen.

For me, it's because it's more common to use tmux and you can find from legacy configs to modern ones. So, for me, that I have not studied IT (and now I work as a programmer) it's essential to find basic configurations all over the place to have an anchor.

But, as always... Use whichever works for you. Don't think in the "best" or the "most efficient" which is just youtube propaganda. Use whichever works for you and makes you feel like home. If that's 98's microsoft word... then embrace it and be proud to have an opinion.
