DeepL's limit is now only 500 words. And I already have a whole bunch of subscriptions. This will become a habit. That’s why DeepL is feeling the pressure and [laying off](https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-05-07/google-tr...) employees.

I don’t know much about the situation in India. But this article paints an overly rosy picture of China.
In my view, there are some people in China who don’t treat a significant portion of the population as human beings. Moreover, the Chinese are very keen on stepping on others to get ahead.

Unless the company and team’s KPI or OKR system changes, things will stay this way. You need something to report on to your superiors. But to you, these things are just another job.

As a non native English speaker, letting an LLM translate my emails is actually a sweet trap that’s all too easy to fall into. But Gemini in Gmail DOESN’T SUPPORT non English input. What’s the point of this thing?
