A previous company I worked on had some sort of Serverless cargo-cult that forced us to use Dynamo as general purpose NoSQL DB, instead of something more sensible like Aurora or hell, even MongoDB in a EC2 instance.

When I went to europe I was surprised by European houses being heated like ovens during winter, with temperatures beyond 20c in some cases. Being from Southern South America (with my native city having a climate roughly similar to that of Ireland) I was used to houses being "fairly cold" during winter, with interior temperatures of 5~10c, we just fight the cold by wearing more clothes and going to bed early!

Why do they make keyboards that can type hate crime? Why do they make cameras that can shoot child porn? This is possibly the worst question I've seen in this site.

I really don't see the issue with dual booting. I work and do most of my personal stuff in Linux, but when I want to play videogames I just reboot my machine and open Windows. It's less effort even than going to my living room and booting my PS4.

Nice website but the problem is that it shows the fonts at 18px size when most people use their editors at 11 or 10px sizes. Many fonts look radically different at such small sizes.

Sadly it sufferes from "squished" ISO syndrome like so many keyboards and laptops nowadays. I had to spend a buttload of money in a P1 in order to get a Thinkpad without a squished ISO layour keyboard.

It wasn't our goverment. Allende won by parlamentary tricks (not by popular vote) and had very poor support during the entirety of his govement.

The other day I went to the office to pick up something and I was finally able to experience the nice banked turn in my commute at full speed. 160kmh with tires at the limit of grip, when most of the days I can barely get 60kmh there. What a pleasure.
