Tried Obsidian multiple times, can't make it work for me.
Tried Zettlr a week ago, same result.
Somehow I seem nobody noticed anytype - https://anytype.io/
They're still in beta, looks like they draw inspiration from Notion but it's more closer to what I need.

It's true because advertisers and publishers measure "performance" (hence revenue/prices) based mostly on views & clicks. You will be amazed how many farms are in the open but hidden. And we're not talking on those stupid easy to catch traffic boosters, it's an entire industry behind.

I :) really don't care as long as having a tiny fraction of conversation with 'a machine, LLM, whatever' makes me feel good. I don't question my washing machine neither I expect it to do it with me, but for 'a chatbot'.. it will feel awkward to 'hear' it like a tin-can 'there's no I in Me' :)

Meetings are bad, all should just admit that. They are the lamest things that tries to substitute all formal/non-formal on-site meetings (please read it coffee/tea/snacks breaks).
Online meetings just sucks.
Why?
They waste time. If they happen in the first part of the day, they just dry-out those before-1pm-doers (I include myself here). If they happen in the 2nd part of the day, half will be just tired or waiting for it to be finished.
Countless times no solutions are made during a single meeting, you require 2-3-4 meetings, it can be a full week before something is nailed.
Now, I might be a bit too old but for many-many-many years before "zoom is the new king" thingies, most of us managed to do amazing thing by simply using async comms (emails, docs, chats).
I wish we can turn back to those days simply because it worked well, the additional stress/pressure current meetings are throwing to many of us will result in higher burn-outs rates.

1st I make use of uBlock Origin filters and I blocked all distracting sources (social media, reddit, etc)
2nd I also blocked via browser any images so I have only text
3rd I try to learn or read about things that fit into my interest zone while avoiding anything else
4th Since I live with my gf I try to spend as much time as possible with her (talking mostly), this way we're both off the distracting internet sources
I value my time more since I'm in my mid 40s, I don't think I waste my time on the internet if I'm reading about something that (see point 3)
When I was a child and right after high-school, the internet was either non-existent or not-accessible. But I do believe that it's the most beautiful thing invented in the last century, it's mind blowing how much can you learn/see/find if you don't waste your time into scroll/click spiral.
If you know where to look/search, there are treasures everywhere on the internet.

Yup, a plus from me about the clean 90's look, hope it will stay that way.
Searched for a term, gives +400k results, up to page 80 and still going. Another big plus from me since I just love to search low ranked results, sometimes you find true gems in obscure pages.

Well, I don't have any data, it's enough to look around.
How many products that you buy is produced/manufactured in a country vs those made in China, Vietnam, Bangladesh and so on?
Before moving production to offshore places, those had to be built in Germany, UK, France... name any 1st class country.
Once production is relocated elsewhere, so does the environment related issues.
We can talk in 3-5 years because if they do plan now to reshore back to EU, environment related issues will just raise again in our eco EU.

The truth is that those currently green, eco, etc country who are marching as and how they manage to reduce carbon emissions is that they achieve it mainly via relocating their heavy gas emitting factories to other parts of the world (China, Vietnam, or cheaper Eastern Europeans).
So there is zero chance to cool the planet unless ALL areas will act and have exactly the same laws and rules regarding gas emissions.

I might repeat what others said but since it's a "huge hobby project":
1) Break it into smaller chunks
2) Prioritize all those smaller chunks by impact, difficulty, and dependency
3) Break them again into smaller pieces based only on difficulty
4) Work based on priorities, get lower diff and high impact first
This way you will start to get a good feeling about your work/project.
Take breaks and make sure you don't burnout.
Good luck!

If it's a sim, it's a damn "real thing". The illusion of what we might think it's real seems perfect, where still not sure how we can explain "time" that can be just a simple variable in that sim.
Out of my simple head, I'm a bit uncertain that nothing can past the speed of light. Maybe there's something else traveling at higher speed but we're unable to detect it.
This can be related to the thing you mention about "in simulated reality they could turn up the clock speed". Just rambling thoughts

If we're living in a simulation then there's nothing we can do to "escape". But what if the simulators are long dead (extinct) and simulation continues to just run forever?
