My son is really into soccer, so I wanted to get the latest ~~Fifa~~ FC game. Oh it has anticheat and doesn't run, at all. Frustrating because I wouldn't want to play online anyway.

Happy to not give EA any money if they're so set on shoving online play and therefore anticheat down the players throats.

Grateful that Steam allows easy refunds.

Plus, they've dumbed down their models to the point where the value just isn't there like it was. If I have to go in and clean up after it, or constantly wrestle with it through prompts, what's the point? Just spending $200 a month to be frustrated at a machine.

Plus if you're in government you have procurement to deal with. You already have an Enterprise deal with Microsoft so you don't have to go through any of that rigmarole.

Not to mention the amount of placeholders and TODOs it's leaving in the codebase but then declaring that it's finished the work.

I've cancelled my subscriptions to both Codex and Claude and am going to go back to writing my own code.

When the merry-go-round of cheap high quality inference truly ends, I don't want to be caught out.
