I don't think this is that? This is more like agents show you a list of products and the UI allows you to buy them like any other online store.

This is a much more expensive model to run and is only available to users who pay the most. I don't see an issue.

However, the "plus" plan absolutely could use some trimming.

I've been wanting exactly this for so long. I want to bury an AirTag in my luggage, backpack, etc. and never think about it again. In those scenarios, it doesn't _need_ to be tiny. I'd rather trade compactness for longevity.

However, an AirTag attached to my keys _should_ be small and it's easily accessible so I don't mind swapping the battery as needed.

We do this at my company and another huge benefit is the ability to test config at a particular point in time. You can even git bisect to find which flag flip caused a regression.

I don't understand why. I thought users will just see a list of options upfront instead of having to install them and select one later.

This seems like more of an awareness thing than an actual change in functionality.

Not unsteerable if you have altitude control + a good model of wind patterns. This is what Project Loon[1] did and I think it's fair to assume the technology might be similar.
