you should upgrade to a used or new 12900k with DDR4 since its still cheaper than dd5 even if it is up. then get a used 3080ti with 12gb. youll be able to do proper h.265 decode/encode with that for up to 4k (unfortuantly not 8k but hey no one really has that yet)

i knew someone who was QA his boss approved his PTO to go to the dentist. however that day turned out to be the layoff day so HR threated him to come to the office. was hilarious. god i hate HR. anyways if you ever go on PTO turn your phone off completely.

the brits gave up hong kong in the 90s. as soon as that happened no one was expecting them to back the case. however, i suppose the brits were optimistic so they didnt have to have regret about losing a colony.

i think taiwan might get some defense but only cause shit is made there and the west cant pretend the chinese wont flex their power

whats the process node it can do. im suprised a fab built in 1991 is stil valuable. the us is trying to build a 5nm fab in arizona and by the time its done well be at 1 or less. granted still probably worth it since it would only be about 7 years old process but 1991. thats gotta be old unless they kept upgrading it

I remember a very popular windows xp key that always circulated on the net. it was funny as hell doing some contract work and a client giving me this code his former IT used to install windows.

Im like is this what I think it is.. anyways he ended up buying a legit license since you know lawyer but still funny that I saw it in a business environment.

it would have been nice if they allowed you to build your own apple AI system (i refused to redefine apples AI as just AI :-p ) using clusters of mac minis and mac pros. but of course they still want that data for themselves like google does. its secure against everyone but apple and the NSA probably lol.

now that the borrow rate has gone up and dollar has strengthed. they arent competing against 0% inflation so less need to go into risky plays. in some ways this helps the economy because it allows people to focus on what really matters but in other ways a bunch of people who were employed because of low interest rates about about to lose their jobs. Plus makes month to month operations more expensive with the higher cost of borrowing for companies (which most do now)

so a good thing? i think the big probably with all these substitutions is they are to make us eat more of the bad thing. if you could only eat fried food or sweets on an occasion then no issue. however, those are the things that are made cheap.

then again maybe its cause those taste the best due to being evolutationary selected and companies arent trying to kill us but get us to buy whatever our bodies easily go for.

insurance is a scam anyways. the only reason it works is because nothing is supposed to happen. howevever, shit has been happening (thanks to weak enforcement of laws) and their easy profit margins are being lost because asset values have balooned
