It's only the most cutthroat people who end up being in the position to make the decisions. So they end up making the decisions that come naturally to them

Just so you know, I think comments like these are just unproductive.

Its one thing to correct the meaning of the word "self sufficient" and its straight up bad faith to talk past the actual meaning of the comment

Don't think that it matters if it was effective.

There's a reason attempted murder is a crime even if it was unsuccessful

If the other kids are jumping off bridges, I would have a great reason to tie my kid to the house. But this isn't that obvious to kids. They will be resentful, they will hate your guts. This will have lasting consequences to your relationship

No one will believe said citizen with expertise because they don't a have a degree. Every billionaire backed media circus will ridicule said citizen.

Example: Gary Stevenson is an inequality expert with a masters in economics but people keep demanding where are the PhD grads with his opinion, which there are, but it's a statement to distract and discredit

"Locked down" is an incorrect way to look at it.

It follows a different philosophy. I've been using atomic systems for the past year or so as my main driver.

If you want to install something that needs superuser access, you do it inside a container. This protects your OS from breaking.

The number of times I've accidentally installed something which broke my window manager or compositor is now zero

Counter. As a group of 4 dota players who are software engineers, we have a collective 20k hours.

All of us refuse kernel level anti cheat.
