Explicitly failing fast is needed I think.

Failing slowly and producing months of unhappy results is too slow of a feedback cycle.

Drug decriminalization has been a horrific failure. Legalization just let's these problems become (worse) epidemics.

Taxation in California has proven to be a huge incentive to black market growers who can grow and sell tax free. The legal seller has the weight of taxation.

Your suggestions are basically a recipe for greater disaster.

As for 3. Looking at the HR targets they don't look like hunch targets to me.

They seem to be going after egregious high flyers with a pattern of grift who are vulnerable to a short.

What country isn't addicted to cheap foreign labor?

Police surveillance provides actual safety. How much crime is in the cities you've lived in?

I lived in a city with a decade of record murders and now live in a city with epidemic property crime. I'd love some actual effective policing.

And US health care is so well loved the assassin of a Healthcare CEO is widely sympathized with.

I'd say Singapore is a modern miracle.

Absolutely. I'm available on slack for anything, and when I'm in the office I get one after another of people coming to me for issues.

There is some hesitancy people have to contact others remotely.

I think you're right, but it's a non optimal way to reduce headcount.

What are managers doing if they're only measure for who stays is "who is willing to drive or train to work?"

That's not management imho.
