There is a self-hosted version of onedev, it's oss.
But there is also a enterprise version (I have one) with very nice plugins most of forge doesn't still have (like the web terminal to debug oui action/ci/cd).
Last week, Robin release a very nice feature for vibe coder. AWESOME

I will look at it, it seems interesting. However, i hope a better ending than Pyjul (https://pijul.org/).
I'm no longer waiting for it whereas everything sound awesome : quite no more merge conflict and patches order free.
So sad it's still not production ready.

I really love everything related to Cosmology but I always struggle with two contrary concepts that lead to paradox (for me) :
- Infinity : from school, we learn our universe is infinite.
- We often do calculation with upper limit like this one : 10^240. This is a big number butttttt it's not infinite you know. 10^240+1, 10^240+2...
So :
1. if it's infinite, why doing upper limit calculation ?
2. if it's limited, what is there outside that limit ?
Extremly paradoxal

This is the type of diagram that horrified me.
It's a very very hard and time consuming task for dev to maintain hotfix for previous releases !
Yeah, easier for users, they don't have to care about breaking changes or migration guide. They just blindly update to the nearest minor.
But as the time goes on, the code for dev ends up being a complete mess of git branches and backports. Dev finally forgot some patches and the software contains a major security hole.
Dev ends by being exhausted, frustrated by its project and roasted by its users.
=> What I do : do not maintain any previous release but provide a strong migration guide and list all breaking changes !
users just have to follow updates or use another software.
I'm happy with it, my project has no debt code and more clean code.

Guys,
GitHub action is a totally broken piece of s !! I know about that broken loops cause I had to deal with it an incredible number of times.
I very often mention OneDev in my comments, and you know what ? Robin solved this issue 3 years ago : https://docs.onedev.io/tutorials/cicd/diagnose-with-web-term...
You can pause your action, connect through a web terminal, and debug/fix things live until it works. Then, you just patch your action easily.
And that’s just one of the many features that make OneDev superior to pretty much every other CI/CD product out there.

I believe the problem is not really Cloudflare or another cloud provider.
The fact is internet was built around the idea that everything should be decentralized in order to be resilient.
Resilient to attacks, resilient to outages or any form of censorship.
So, each time amazon, cloudflare (...) fails, it reminds us that nobody like SPOFs.
