It's said that the tax was for every computing machine but big companies pressured the government to remove it and what the government did was only tax microcomputers and not systems like mainframes and such.
The computer with the 72KB was the Amstrad CPC472
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amstrad_CPC#CPC472

I don't know if the law changed in the last years but here (Spain) it's illegal to sell a computer without a operative system.
Today the most easy option probably is to install Linux but I remember this law was there at year 2000 and at that time Linux was harder to install than FreeDOS.

I'm Spanish and I'm finding this very hilarious because that explains a "urban legend" that was about that computer. People said that the Amstrad had a secret chip that only the NSA could use.
Yes secret chips for a foreign government in a offline computer.

My experience with WordPress ended a few years ago but it was with a few news blogs with 10k daily visitors with 50k page loads.
The first "trouble" with WordPress was that I had to fiddle with the config files of Apache, php and MySQL to improve the performance in a old i5 where the websites where hosted.
The worst part of WordPress is that the main redactor (the boss) was continuously installing plugins and themes developed by monkeys that ended more than a few times with the website with "nice and shiny" webshells installed by remote hackers. The most recurring culprit was that the themes used JavaScript libraries that where years old and even if the developers of such libraries updated those for security, the developers of the themes never updated the themes.
I'm looking to create a personal blog and most probably I'll go with WordPress with a official theme.
PS and Edit: I'm not a developer but even I can recognise that accepting inputs from the users without checking that the user only uses text and not special symbols is a bad idea.

Not scam ads but I've been having troubles with adsense ads that redirect the webpage I'm seeing to a copy of the website of my ISP asking to update information about my account.
Wasn't able to report it so... If they get the money they don't care to spread scams or malware.

Same here, fun fact is that even at school and high school I was the only boy that could understand a basic text or do a basic conversation but even with that I always had troubles just to pass any test.
Learned English playing games in the early 90's
In any English test they ask me to put a phrase in passive form and I was like: the f* is that?
And most probably for maths/physics It would be funnier to do some angry birds with numbers than calculating the movement of a random body in a parabolic movement.

I don't understand how the powerlines can affect to wildfires. They can put powerlines in any place or how it works?
In my country (Spain) there are laws to say exactly how much meters of free space are needed depending on what capacity has the powerline. That means that you can't build anything there and that if a powerline goes in your forestal terrain you can't plant any tree there (thats why people don't like powerlines over theirs lands).
That also does that all the forestal ground have a good number of firewalls because of the powerlines.

I had to check the unit conversion but I think that 1000square feet is almost the same as 92 square meters. If that is correct it's the regular size of a flat in Spain for a family. The flat where I was raised was 80 square meters and there where my parents, my sister and my. 3 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and a bathroom. Thats the usual here.

In my country there are many restrictions even to do a barbecue in the summer because you could cause a forest fire. That and also you can't do fire in a city because urban fires are even worse that forest ones.
And about gathering wood in the forest, if you aren't the owner of the forest that is stealing.
