Any new rust based ML library is great in my book. I've taken a brief look at the candle tensor implementation and just took an even briefer look at the can-t tensor implementation. What was the reasoning behind a global equation to store all tensors grads etc ? My initial assumption would be that it might make more sense to store that data scoped within a `Graph` type or similar.

The stigmatization is imagined at best. Its similar to how words to describe individuals with learning disabilities also gain a negative connotation. Its not the word its the fact that the word refers to a subset of people that a comparison to is an insult. Hence, Mongoloid -> Retard -> Special -> <whatever the new one is>
In terms of racism, its different but the same mechanism. Being compared to a minority race is not an insult (to most people). Its the fact, that racist people will use the word with vitriol. Racists and those they argue with will use the term in their arguments and gradually the use of the term will gain the conotation of a racist person. Hence, Negro -> Colored -> Person of Color -> <the next thing when PoC becomes racist>

Pretty sure the reason they don't have stores in Ireland is due to taxation agreement with the government. Similar to the Shannon airport thing that started it all

You would be a fool to think that an entire population is stupid. Perhaps a proportion sure but the deciding vote comes from a large proportion of the population that are by no means stupid. Democracy in theory is a form of distributed computation and just because you don't agree with the end result does not make every else stupid

European wise I think we're really failing to build significant homegrown tech companies. I'm not sure of the exact reason although I've heard that startup support it low and too much regulation / diversity of regulation are issues.

Absolute nonsense. The Netherlands does the same stuff and calling Ireland an irrelevant nation is an incredibly ignorant statement to label a country that vastly punches above its weight in science, technology, and research.
Here in Europe competition is good and you have some countries that don't like losing out.

Yeah the purpose of a country is to maximize the opportunity of its citizens which is exactly what Ireland is doing. They're not trying to maximize tax income otherwise they would have a higher rate

Well they're not trying to screw over the rest of Europe. They're just gaining a competitive advantage by offering favorable deals. Its something that countries have been doing for much of their existence. To claim their screwing over the rest of Europe is just anti-competitive nonsense. The Netherlands does the same stuff just not as successfully
