Unfortunately, they're controlling the narrative. It's unlikely that their negligence will come to light, given how many powerful entities are invested in their financial success.

This made me laugh a bit. I was forced to do an evaluation of their shit product twice due to being backed by the same PE firm; "take a look at it again, it's much better now". It sucked the second time also...

In recent memory of companies I've worked for, even the absolute WORST executives haven't gotten fired. They always announce that "it's time for another adventure" or "I am taking a break". So I am not shocked they didn't fire him, although the board is now probably wishing they did.

Slightly off topic, but I strongly believe that the rise of "professional" CEOs was the beginning of the end for quality products and services. Before, you were generally an expert in your particular domain and was invested in solving the customer's problems.

I generally agree with you, however this makes an assumption about what "correctly" means. In this case, Meta could be working correctly and take it's orders directly from the Zuck commander's intent. In which case he would be a single person that would have a massive impact on the outcome. Therefore, should be appropriately accountable.

I love how the data from top players shows that they're using a build on the Pareto Front, i.e. that the wisdom of crowds settles on a meta that is optimum. I wonder if we analyzed other games, if the meta were all consistently on the Pareto Front (WoW, Diablo, w/e). Likely so.

You're spot on (ex casino worker). There's no conspiracy. Speaking for myself, I was nice to people because it made me more money in tips (also, because I am not an a-hole). Made a lot of "friends" when I worked in the casino, employees and patrons. It's not any different than folks I work with in tech (i.e. some you connect with and have genuine friendships and some are work friends). They likely stopped calling her due to upper management telling staff to not engage due to legal liability (or they lose their job).

edit: Additionally, there are whales and there are folks who's job it is to get them in the door (we had game managers for the big games).
