"My friend and I have a theory that when you rent an apartment, it starts going downhill after two years."
I have lived in many apartments that were decades old and well taken care of. None of the problems mentioned in the blog occurred. I don't see how even an slight exaggeration of this theory could remotely be true. Although I am sure specific cases can be found where it is true, but not universally.

I wonder what a Venn Diagram of people that use GrapheneOS and people that wish to purchase a Volkswagen vehicle looks like.
As of April 2026, the operating system had approximately 400K active users. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GrapheneOS
I wish that Volkswagen would care about this, but I suspect they have little incentive to do so.

Yes, the article mentions mice. Not uncommon, a lot of research is done with mice. The article also includes. "Researchers also found encouraging results in human tissue. Samples collected during knee replacement surgeries began producing new, functional cartilage when exposed to the treatment."
For myself, I do not think the in mice comment is necessary as clearly they have results that work in humans.

I had a 4K 26 inch monitor and yes it was nice. But I travel too much and didn't enjoy moving it from place to place. Gave it to a good friend that I was visiting. Missed it for a little bit but quickly got used to using laptop screen. It is to the point that even if I'm in a hotel room with a large monitor/screen I usually don't bother to connect to it.
My point. Once you get better things yes it's easy to think you could never use the lesser tools you once had. But if the incentives are there, it's really not that difficult to adapt.

"It was a bit ironic to spend that much on a phone just to build the thing that would slow it down."
That doesn't seem ironic to me, it seems economically foolish. Why not simply buy an older phone?
Okay, reading further down. Really this is just an advertisement for an app they made targeted to people without self control who watch videos on their phone too often.

Do passengers have any rights against their personal data being collected when riding (not driving) in someone else's vehicle?
I tried to look this up on my own but my results were always polluted with public transportation, or vehicle accident situations or just this gem "share your concerns with your driver, they can explain the data being collected".

Zyn pouches are designed to be placed between the user's upper lip and gum, or between the gum and cheek, and used for up to one hour. If someone is swapping out in five minutes then they are literally wasting product, even if you chewed it for five minutes I don't think you could process it all. Based on my experience in using the product for a couple of months.

Different pollen have different weights. If you're seeing yellow dust laying on the ground then it's likely to be a heavy pollen that won't bother many people unless they actively stir it up. Example: People with pine allergies aren't really bothered unless they play in the pine needles and stir it up.
Not familiar with the biology of the matter. But I would assume there are advantages and disadvantages to the weight of the pollen in how it disperses and pollinates.

If a company names itself with deceit I am doubtful of their integrity.
"Häagen-Dazs" is an invented pseudo-Scandinavian phrase coined by the American Reuben Mattus, in a quest for a brand name that he claimed was Danish-sounding.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H%C3%A4agen-Dazs
