They are not only not caring about minimizing harm, they are getting away with 11 months of wanton destruction on a daily basis. Just this month, they have dropped mk84 bombs on civilian tents. What are you babbling about?

And do not forget to look up the meaning of 'Jakarta is coming'
BTW, before someone screams whataboutism: adjusting your worldview according to facts and applying your moral standards to all countries is not whataboutism. Its a prerequisite to being able to morally condemn any action.

Oh wow, a country BULLYING its neighbors. Imagine a country doing that. Luckily, the US never does something like that. Or imposes sanctions on a country half a world away, sanctions which the entire world has to adhere to unless they want to lose US trading all together.
Some of these talking points fall apart upon typing them, let alone posting.

Cities existed before billionares did. Society existed before pricks with god complexes started thinking that order and society organized the other way around.
Get off from Rand. Learn some actual history.

With all due respect: he seems to lack basic empathy and understanding for most office workers.
When you have the viewpoint of the maverick freegunning CEO/main architect, and you have a direct stake at what you do, of course you can switch the tasks up to make everything fresh. After all, no one is going to control you in any way whatsoever.
That does not go for anyone with a well-defined set of responsibilities, placed, say, in an "agile" environment. And besides, working above and beyond your means there just means you get more and more tasks in exchange, nothing else. Yaay?

"And the west for having them" - nope. Thats a propaganda line by the US goverment, and lately by the EU right wingers. There are much better reasons to despise the West than the percieved "freedom" they have. Like their actual acts of genocides and exploitation.

This is a misunderstanding of how Arrays work.
When you have an object with exactly two keys, it is very fast to iterate through them.
So what this code demonstrates is that if you have to look up a billion keys, that is going to be slower than if you have to look up two keys for an object.
Additional reading for this:
https://v8.dev/blog/fast-properties
From this article:
const sparseArray = [];
sparseArray[9999] = 'foo'; // Creates an array with dictionary elements.
In this example, allocating a full array with 10k entries would be rather wasteful. What happens instead is that V8 creates a dictionary where we store a key-value-descriptor triplets. The key in this case would be '9999' and the value 'foo' and the default descriptor is used. Given that we don't have a way to store descriptor details on the HiddenClass, V8 resorts to slow elements whenever you define an indexed properties with a custom descriptor:

The author was not ignorant. He was also nowhere near close to any sort of enlightment, or else he would not have thought things like that.
This is, however, a moot point. The article is important and a warning to a lot of people. The current state we live creates such a tense situation for most people that these hardcore retreat-size meditation doses can literally act like shocks to both the trained and the untrained.

I'll be a bit raw, sorry for it.
There is a battlefield in the JS ecosystem. Anyone seasoned in it, with all that entails, is not your "script kiddie" as that word originated in a VERY different era, with very different requirements for said "script kiddies". If anything, it shows that the one using this phrase is a bit out of the loop.

I really, really like this. At this point, I am not even sure if Bevy even needs another language (rust can work pretty well for scripting-needs,after all), but if it comes to having an editor for designers and separating that kind of logic from the build process, this could work very well. Looking forward to trying this out in the next few days.

I have respect for Dustin Bowder's vision with regards to Diablo III, however disastrous it proved to be with the game's hardcore fans. It misunderstood what the franchise was about and fundamentally went against some of its core "values", but at the end of the day, pre-nerf Diablo III at Inferno was one of the most heavy skill-based kite-based arpg to date. You had to be there.

I am mostly countering the libertarian "innovative hero" talking point that paints progress as an inherent part of profit-driven late stage capitalism.
Humans are cooperative by nature. We would have scientists even under different production systems. Therefore, I think it is a default failure state to just hope for heroes to emerge. Obama was portrayed as such, and he failed to tackle most of US's pressing social issues.
