Curious about this. Usually I try to get an Apt source (I use Ubuntu). Why would I want to use brew on Linux? I stopped using Macs and brew around 2018 when Apple started closing down it's macOS for a few years and got sick of it. Thanks!

I found this funny. I am not sure if it was intended that way!
> Monads are not some kind of obscure math-y thing that only the big brains think are necessary. No, instead monads are a fundamental abstract algebraic description of imperative programming as a computational context.
Yep, as a non-big-brainer, I definitely get it now. :)

As a pedestrian, I fear cyclists the most. Please do block the bike lane while I am getting in and out so cyclists won't hit me. I have been almost killed by cyclists many more times than cars. My office building hires someone with a sign to stand in the crosswalk in front of the building where cyclists almost never respect the crosswalk.
Cyclists here regularly ignore red lights and also go the wrong way on streets and even in bike lanes.

I get literally sick after exercising. Like, nauseous and even on occasion vomit. I feel like crap afterwards, and need to almost immediately take a nap. I get zero immediate benefits from exercise (both weights and aerobics), and feel bad the rest of the day. If it is leg day, I drag while walking or taking stairs. I have never gotten a "runners high" or felt any same day benefits.
I do get benefits, mind you - my pinched nerve pains go away, I (sometimes) sleep better, my body looks better. But it is super hard to want to do it and gets done as minimally as possible to not have pain.

I have decided to put my GAS behind me and focus on truly learning one musical instrument, the MPC Live III. I aim to learn all the features and come up with several workflows at which I become fluent. The goal is to enable me to create songs without having to worry about constantly figuring out how to do something.

Windows (11 Pro): Bloat. Unusable Windows Content Search (on my 20T+ of data). Patches that cause reboots unexpectedly. Hard to configure full disk encryption that requires a password at boot time to unlock. Hard to figure out how to fix things that break, but Gemini helps. Hard to migrate to entirely new computer without a full reinstall. Touchy iSCSI support.
Linux (Ubuntu 24.04 LTS): No good integration with OneDrive and Google Drive at the filesystem level like on Windows. Too many distributions to consider. SNAP on Ubuntu (uninstalled). Scary Ubuntu LTS upgrades. Have not figured out Wine for the few Windows apps I would like to use. (Would love just having a VM like in the old days, with window manager integration.) Audio drivers, latency and music software is very fiddly. Bluetooth is sketchy, especially for audio. Support for hardware lags Windows heavily (e.g. Strix Halo, nVidia). Poor support for business devices like some scanners etc. So many problems with Wayland, screen sharing, window positioning, etc.
But I am starting a migration to Linux slowly but surely. Windows keeps getting worse; Linux is improving. (Linux user since 1992.)
