Which are vastly overblown. I diet every year as part of bodybuilding, at a range of intensities and durations, and have never had issues with sudden metabolic changes that make it harder to lose weight.

I did the whole APs, sports, volunteering thing too, and managed to do just fine in college.

Kids today are just so fucking soft.

Why would you think that? Most of my friends are parents now and all of them are quite concerned about the effect of social media, phones, and technology more broadly.

Basically all of them are planning to delay exposing their kids to phones and screens for as long as possible.

Because at my company, in the US, I am not required to take any time off. I can bank any amount I want and spend it when I prefer. And it explicitly is treated as a paid day of work.

Maybe…of course, those were also decades where companies would comp executives with cars, apartments, vacation homes, &c. Plus other perks like expensing ‘business meetings’ at strip clubs.

So it’s better that they don’t get hired at all and live entirely off support of the (forced) largesse of the tax payer?

As one of those tax payers I’d much rather they work and earn at least something.

The other option is endlessly printing money, which causes hyperinflation and you get an Argentina/Turkey/Weimar Republic situation.

There were times in college where I blanked on important information during an exam, but was able to recall it by visualizing the physical sheets I had written my notes on. I aced several infamously difficult classes like OChem and OChem 2 using that technique.

I’ve never found it possible to do that with typed notes.

I drink lots of water. Lots and lots, to the point that it’s already kind of annoying how frequently I have to piss. I’m fairly skeptical that drinking yet more would yield any benefits.

You say this like it might be shocking. I would expect nothing more than major movie critics bandwagoning a movie like this.

It’s incredibly how many deluded people are on this site.

I used SRS when studying for OChem and got the highest grade across all sections my prof was teaching.

Anki doesn’t force you to make cards with vocab words in isolation.
