I think that there should be a feature of "they turned me down/declined" and have an option for whether or not they gave you useful feedback.

We should also reward and encourage positive behavior by companies.

Fuzzy skin finish might also get you pretty close along with a wood PLA. They can do both wall and top layer fuzzy skin now.

I'm on Mounjaro for T2D, previously on Ozempic. Besides the weight loss and the blood sugar control it also eliminated my IBS as well. Before the drug certain foods, especially nuts would cause excruciating digestive issues. I can now eat them without worry. It's been amazing.

I think it's doable with a parametric design in Fusion but it is definitely more work up-front or re-work after you have a working version. Getting a well parameterized and set of constrained sketches can be a time consuming process since I don't do it every day. It's probably the part I've struggled with the most in making 3D printable designs (I'm not OP but design cosplay props for my kids) since I don't always know what I want the final dimensions to be.

We just completed the switch to Rancher where I work. 1200ish engineers, mostly on Macs. So far it's worked out pretty well..fewer hiccups than I expected.

This may be a terminology thing but as a T2 I will always carry that diagnosis. However, mine is in remission because I manage it through medication/diet.

My doctor and I have talked about trying to see if I can drop the medications and still stay in remission but I'll still be a T2 patient.

Also, not all T2s can manage just through a ketogenic diet.

I think it's only going to get worse as the LLMs get just that much better that people stop thinking more critically about what they generate. Right now I think many people still verify or read through the results to make sure they sound right. What happens when people get lulled into complacency and then it really goes off on a bender.

From my limited vantage point (in-laws) this is normal in the Filipino culture. My wife and I moved away from her parents so we didn't do this but her sister's kids were probably a 70/30 split in being at the grandparents' house. Her cousin's kids were the same. In fact, many of them would send the kids to the Philippines for months at a time where the grandparents lived to be raised by them. It felt really odd to me at first but that's more because it wasn't how I was raised plus I didn't have any grandparents that were still alive when I grew up.

This could almost be me. The main difference is my "server" is an off-lease Dell Micro PC that I maxed out the RAM on running ProxMox with a mix of VMs with everything stored on a Synology NAS all sitting in my basement office closet. I have tailscale setup so I can access it remotely.

While I do use the AMS for multi-color prints, it's actually more useful to me because I can keep four filaments loaded at any time and it's easier to swap filaments out of the AMS that from behind the printer. I try to avoid prints with a ton of color changes just because of how much it slows down prints and the amount of waste it generates.

If the Prusa XL wasn't so expensive for 5 toolheads I'd get that since its' much faster for filament switches and the minimal amount of waste it generates.

On a recent Moody's economics podcast they did not think this was the case. Rather this job growth in government was more about back-filling positions they had struggled to fill when the private sector had been pushing up wages and pulling people out of government jobs.

I've read from multiple sources that they don't have the assets but couldn't they sell off state industries to gather enough assets? I thought one of the new President's plans was to privatize everything there.

I think the ageism thing is not as big of an issue anymore. Yes, you will see it in startups that are run by 20somethings but I'm in my early 50s and haven't had any problem staying employed or getting offers.

If you stagnate skills wise or stop trying to grow/evolve your abilities then you definitely will have issues but that's true in many industries, not just ours.

Replace Salesforce and CRM with ServiceNow and ITSM and it's a similar story. They call it "Land and Expand". There's a reason they have a 99% or so renewal rate.

In Chicago it was typically 40Mbps but in the last few weeks my scheduled speed tests are running 230Mbps. However, during Covid I had co-workers that lived in communities with a large number of WFH and they were all having trouble with video conf on Comcast so it doesn't surprise me at all.

Yeah, most of the time I think I do. I suspect it has to do more with diet and maybe water as well. Since Ozempic slows down your digestive process my current thought is that fiber / gut bacteria might have more affect on things but I haven't done a food diary to try and track what impacts me more.

My story / anecdata.

About 6 months ago there was a posting about Ozempic and I had said something to the effect that it wasn't worth it watching some of the side effects my wife had from it. And then I went to the doctor for a check-up and lo and behold I had diabetes. Asymptomatic, but an A1C of 11. My doctor re-ran the test because he didn't believe it and it doesn't run in my family. My cholesterol had also jumped and he said he was going to put me on a statin after the initial 3 months of adjusting to the diabetes medication.

My Dr. puts me on Ozempic and I grumble about it but with that test results I had, I knew I had to do something. Fast forward 3 months, I dropped 20 pounds, and every other measurement is back in the green, including my A1C. Now, I made some serious lifestyle changes and ate a diabetic diet (limiting carbs, the types of carbs, etc), and have been keeping up with being more active but my entire relationship with food has changed because of Ozempic. Before I had a near compulsion to eat more than I should. Now, I don't because one, I feel fuller quicker and two, I know I'll feel horrible for hours if I over-eat. It only took one of those events to never want to do that again. I can't really explain why but I also don't have as strong of a desire to eat foods that are bad for me. I really thought I'd battle the cravings more after going cold turkey from "bad" foods. I can't say why it is but it's true. Side note, going to the grocery story was really difficult at first....there is so much sugar in the American food supply.

Energy wise I will say that I did struggle with low energy initially as my body adapted to lower calorie intake but I also learned that when I found the right balance of protein/complex carbs for me that my energy levels came back up and I now feel better than ever.

My doctor was shocked. I've never seen him that animated when I came back in for the 3 month follow-up. I didn't need to add any additional medications and they're slowly adjusting me back towards a single medication.
