I agree with that, I'm just not sure if that is what they are doing, maintaining v3 "as it was".
I seem to remember at the time the plan was to pull all changes from Audacity across but not the team/company behind it.

I know it's not a proper metric to judge by, but Tenacity is 10k commits behind Audacity. That's quite a lot to get behind since the split. I'd be interested if Tenacity is actively developed or pretty much just maintaining the software from where they split.

I haven't used hg in years now, bitbucket discontinuing support is what killed it for me and I had no interest in self hosting.
My git usage is very basic, my gitconfig has been pretty much untouched for years but on those occasions where I get stuck or hit something I end up searching and usually get through a bunch of posts/comments/sites and wish I was using hg.

I feel exactly the same, the font rendering in Linux drives me absolutely insane. The amount of hours I've spent over the past 15 years tweaking fontconfig, having to compile special patched packages etc etc doesn't bare thinking about.
I don't even have to edit anything on Windows now, and when I did a few years ago it was only on a clean install going through I think what was called cleartype config, you had a panel of 6 images/samples to choose from and after going through it all everything looked pretty damn perfect.

Well you see this quite often, you have these men who protest very loudly online about CSA end up being found guilty of assault or in ownership of assault media themselves.
One can only hope Drews local law enforcement find a reason to seize all his computer equipment and do a forensic investigation.
Here is an interesting find from a comment 12 years ago made by Drew on reddit (https://undelete.pullpush.io/r/todayilearned/comments/udlwf/...):
"What an ass, you don't have to call him out in the middle of a (mostly) unrelated post. I pity pedophiles - you can't control what turns you on, and they happen to be turned on by something illegal. It's a dick move to try and bring it up and shame him publicly."
Definitely needs his hard drives searching by authorities.

He needs to do as much damage to Stallman while he still can. Stallman's recent health scares (as noted in the "stallman report") have most likely prompted this as Drew knows once RMS passes away he wont be able to get his revenge on the guy or have him removed from what has been his life's work.
There are screenshots from Drews live streams which show his browser history/bookmarks which show links to 4ch board for cartoon drawings of lewd/nude children which make this all the more sickening. No wonder Drew loves his "research" so much.

Same thing happened on reddit.
Instant 100+ upvotes out of nowhere. A bunch of new accounts posting supportive messages that after checking about 20 of them had posted on the sub before and just magically appeared. Downvotes to anything asking questions.
There is one infamous mastodon troll "developer" that can't get enough of themselves and I would put money on them being involved in this, if you know you know.

I got that big warning about having 2 videos left before being locked out of youtube viewing due to running an "ad-blocker", that was last week, I've not watched a video on the site since.
I just download it with yt-dlp or throw it in to mpv. If those stop working I'll probably just stop watching youtube altogether since I only watch maybe 6-10 vids a week anyway. This "app" does look quite good, but for how long it will work if g**e keeps making it difficult I don't know.
