We are already in a recession. The S&P500 is propped up by a few companies, Gold is crushing stocks, job numbers are horrendous, and the private rate markets are telling us rates are going lower, fast.
Gold, a static commodity, outperforming stock indices is practically a shout from the top of a mountain that companies are doing terribly because they cannot produce returns greater than the inflation of commodity prices.
Look at how many treasuries the large banks are buying in anticipation of lower rates.
The corporate media and the Federal Reserve (of Public Relation) just want to paper over it long enough for the large players to get positioned before the rest of the market realizes it.

I work at a FAANG company and have consistently performed well above expectations. Instead of recognition or support, I’ve been rewarded with more work and zero help.
Management seems directionless — I’ve asked point-blank where we’re heading and get nothing in return. They ignore the initiatives that actually drive results and instead chase shiny, unproven ideas that "sound strategic."
After years of trying to push things forward, I finally realized they don’t want impact — they want safe, predictable mediocrity. So I’ve stopped overperforming. There’s no upside in a system that punishes initiative and rewards inertia.
If you're wondering why big tech feels like it's stagnating, this is a big part of the answer.

In case of falling: If you dont pass out from the impact or get picked up in the wash then you need to hold your breath for around 2 minutes in order for a chance at rescue. If a second wave comes in before rescue, then youre likely done.

NYT journalism has really gone down hill towards clickbait and controversial takes in lieu of just reporting the news. Gotta stay in business somehow I guess.
