It’s kind of crazy really. Before LLMs, any type of world scale disaster you’d hope for what? Wikipedia backups? Now, a single LLM ran locally would be much more effective. Imagine the local models in 5 years!

What was interesting to me was how expensive this thing was, I wonder how much of that cost came from the software. Elon mentioned how they're trying to create a "world model" for their Tesla FSD, which has enabled them to use the same software for Optimus.
I'd imagine the future will be large "ready to go" Ai packages, which companies would tweak to their liking.

I don’t think it’s possible, hence my point on societal changes. It’s unenforceable for the most part and would lead the last real free speech sites to really shut down.

It's incredibly sad we've come to this and the free speech "libertarian" nature of the internet is long dead. These laws, even if found "legal", are just a band-aid and won't change the underlying truth about how half the country (and most new immigrants) think of free speech.

I wonder if the real killer app is Googles hardware scale verses OpenAi' s(or what Microsoft gives them). Seems like nothing Google's done has been particular surprising to OpenAi's team, it's just they have such huge scale maybe they can iterate faster.

I hope the government regulations don’t just end at stopping the merger, but also disallowing these financial institutes from banning users for speech they deem harmful. Actual illegal use, sure, but im not sure how or why it’s legal for them to ban and remove banking abilities from someone for their political views no matter how “abhorrent”.
