Yes, it's very much like blogger.com, but older.
What we have on 'our loca internet' is a few community hubs, one of them is a general one for all kinds of freelancers where they can put a link to their blog, and also the blog platforms have a general listing of blogs separated into categories that you can explore. I don't know of any such community hubs on the English speaking internet.

These blog systems hosted by the news sites do not have FTP access, there is a simplistic web interface that you use to publish articles and set up categories/tags. There are "freehostings" that give you a 3rd level domain and FTP access to a LAMP server (in exchange for displaying an ad banner), but that's a different thing.
I am not sure what you mean by your question, could you clarify?

In my country there is at least 10x political blogs than technical ones. They're using local simplistic blog platforms (usually hosted by news sites) that let you have your own third level domain.

That's because the country loosened the restrictions. It worked, and should've been kept. Sadly the leadership here is populist too, which worked at first (the popular thing in Europe was to restrict) but then didn't (the popular thing became to open up). If they listened to our experts instead of being populists, we wouldn't have opened up and the cases would go to zero, as it nearly did a few months ago.
Source: am Czech.

Then it would make you believe someone else is so incredibly wise. Posts can contribute to the discussion and suggest side points at the same time. If they didn't want to suggest how much Jesus of Nazareth was wise, they would simply post the quote without the "truth of Jesus of Nazareth [the name used for Jesus the historical figure] words" part.

The comment I replied to attributes the quote to Jesus of Nazareth, and presents it as evidence that he was an incredibly timelessly wise, even god-like being. Normally when people make out a person to be way too incredible, other people refute that with actual history.

You know the original bible was lost and written from scratch by the wishes of the new author at least one time sometimes around year 100, right? The first schism. Jesus of Nazareth probably never said such thing.

> Who says it's stronger? It's OK at best
It's what the Americans point to when they discuss reforms of their education system - and I am the one saying it's not really that strong, or rather, does not seem to be the actual solution.

> This is the exact sort of thing that indicates market-power being concentrated to a point requiring severe, acute regulatory action.
This is what I react to. Sorry I missed that you're not the original commenter, that's my bad.
I am not sure though what other tool should the biologists learn - they usually know R and Python and they use Excel because they need what Excel offers; there isn't any other software that allows them to easily do whatever they need to do with the data, quickly iterating on the ideas AND then present it nicely.
The solution here should be to fix Excel, but it really is a small issue (that has been worked around, too; and if you know how to use excel correctly, it does not happen to you) compared to making another Excel, which seems like a monstrous task.

I do not say that it's not happening. That does not mean we do not welcome the US, or that its actions here are comparable to the actions of the SU, or that the SU, a comparably much worse regime which caused dozens of millions deaths after the war (many in the SU itself, but not only), helped Europe more.
I guess I should thank the SU for stealing our uran, making my fellow citizens forcibly work in the mines as a punishment for not being communist enough, and for hindering our economical development by decades (of the country that used to be one of the most advanced European states before the war, and got destroyed AFTER the war so much that it fell below Africa in HDI)? Well, thanks...
