I really enjoyed The Science of Hitting, by Ted Williams. It is a testament to his obsession with all aspects of one particular compound motion. I wrote more here: https://ctd1.substack.com/p/book-review-science-of-hitting

I'm now reading Brothers Karamazov, because someone else on HN recommended it (well, that was the immediate catalyst, but I've been wanting to read a big Russian novel). There's a lot of jawing about the church which is a little boring, but I'm appreciating the way all the characters are bursting with life and feeling. And also that Dostoevsky never beats around the bush.

IIRC the writing was on the wall by 2002. The x86 hardware was finally good enough that first there was a lurch to WinNT, then Linux once people realized NT wasn't as stable or developer friendly.

Before the court packing threat, they were limiting the federal government's power to regulate commerce within states. Which is a power it doesn't actually have.

Looking again at the article, I see that there are about 5 paragraphs about Railway and 30 about the agent (and, again, zero reflection about their own culpability).

If you look at the article, its title is, "An AI agent deleted our production database. It confessed in writing." To me this seems to be pretty clearly focusing on the AI agent. Then if you read the article, it attributes a lot of actions to the agent, and zero responsibility to the humans running the agent. It seems to be an anti-ad for the person's business.

If you actually follow the links you posted, you will see that he didn't create a meme coin and didn't rug pull it. Someone else made the coin and set it up so he got transfer fees.
