The same goes for another human being though. What you experience and want to visualize need to be described. Whether its a human or AI, you will have the same issues.

Millions of humans go to about their work every day and do mundane and boring work every day for a salary at the end of the month. A lot preceive this as modern day slavery but still continue to work. So humans are not doing better than an AI as per your requirements. Also what you are referring to is more related to AI alignement and safety (specifically loss-of-control).

Unfortunately, I'm not so optimistic. If the rapid change in AI advancement continues at this rate, bar some world wars or an economic collapse, we will face an existensial crisis as humans. AI for me is not attacking or replacing human jobs, it is coming after the cost of our own intelligence. I fear that the cost of human intelligence will go down with time compared to AI. We will no longer be needed to perform tasks as part of an economic framework (capitalism or other will not matter). Money will not be worth anything and hopefully we get to UBI quickly. I don't believe that my son who is 5 will work till retirement age.

I believe in Islam Noah is believed to have lived 950 years. It took him a long time to build the arch.

The other story mentioned in the Quran is about a group of people and their dog who slept in a cave for 309 years and woke up afterwards. I believe they died shortly after. There is an actual chapter in the quran about this called the cave[1].

Have you considered another angle, which is that you may have a health condition that is impacting you?

I had a similar experience, I changed job/country but I was still feeling drained. It turned out I was suffering from a health condition which was draining my energy and I was fatigued all time.

Some of this may include but not limited to:

- Iron deficiency - Diabetes - Blood Pressure - hypothyroidism

Whatever you decide to do, if you feel like you just want to sleep and don't want to do anything for a while, check with your GP first and do blood tests.

I'm actually surprised that no country seem to have had any protocol in place for this kind of tragedy. It seem all is very disorgonized and not really thought through. You'd think with all budgets around the world put in the military and R&D, some kind of protocol should be in place to reduce impact. Things like:

- Build hospitals in x Days by Army

- Identify key equipment in case of Bio tragedy and either stock them or have them produced locally by at least two different companies in different location but same country

- Supply chain impact

- Distribution of aid, either medical or even monetary. Even with all advanced tech we have, we still can't figure out how to get things from A to B, when B really needs it.

The above would not need only to be put on paper, but also tested, evaluated and continously reviewd.

I'm also very surprised that a lot of companies I deal with do not have a Business Continuity Process that would deal with the above. A lot of customers want their staff to work from home now but are struggling with the HOW. Should the users use their own devices (BYOD) and connect to the VPN? what's the impact on security?. Should the company provide laptops?, if yes how fast can we buy them, configure them and send them out.

There are some companies who were prepared, because they took this seriously, they tested this frequently and were expecting a similar event.

Maybe talk to your landlord about your situation and they may provide you with some help?. Also, Germany don't you get from Arbeitsamt if you are unemployed?

I actually would go with the sales numbers for the new PS5 because:

- People who already have a console and are stuck home will not buy a new one because the cash is not there.

- PS5 is a nice to have but not a necessity. Though the iPhone is in the same category but at a much higher price. The PS5 is estimated to be sold at $470-$499 while the new iPhone is much more expensive $799 up to $999.

- People who don't own a console will likely put this off and buy it next year and focus on more necessities.

- The entertainment industry is hit massively by this crisis, and this will be a good indicator of where things are going.

Going back to the main subject, I believe the economy may well bounce back. The issues that may arise may be more related to security and politics. If things go on like this, there could be worldwide riots, or even revolutions in some places.

Let's just hope a vaccine is found quickly.

Isn't the article forgetting the biggest factor: The human delivering your food?

They will be delivering for hundreds of people and may well be infected. Do you need to hide behind the door and ask them to leave it there and hand them a tip somehow. Because holding a 6 feet distance while they hand you your grocery/food is not gonna work.

I asked the same from the delivery guy Yesterday, he threw everything he had and run away like I had the plague :D. So be careful.
