Did you not see how long it took in Syria? Did you miss ISIS? the massive number of groups splintered off? Sure people hated Assad but what it took to get rid of him was horrid. If any thing the Iranians are probably scared that this is what will become of them I know I would be.

Makes alot of sense and token cost reduction is obviously going to be a factor in the future of development, Something sets of my spidey sense though. Is Wasp mature enough for an LLM to understand how it functions when you go off the beaten path and try coming up with novel solutions?

Oh yeah, The Oil crisis in the 1970's effects were felt until the mid 80's this is just starting and it isn't going to go away anytime soon.

An aspiring poor is better than a poor thats given up hope. The VC model only extracts capital if the potential is reached. If not then the business is at least keeping people off benefits while they try. Heavy taxation and then increasing the civil service to absorb job losses just leads to a bloated stagnant economy.

The main reason for this was employers could cut your hours if they had a poor month and needed to balance the books. Which is understandable for smaller businesses. Then the bigger companies went nuts with it and ended up massively changing the dynamics of work.

This change should go further in killing off the zombie companies that exist which means another spike in the unemployment rates. Coupled with the figures on the UK topping AI replacement of workers charts things are looking really grim.

The UK desperately needs a functioning angel and VC culture to absorb this but it looks like the cart has bolted before the horse.

Give me one aspect in which that has actually happened? I'm wracking my brains but can't think of one. We are a weird species in that even if we could replace ourselves our fascination with ourselves means that we don't ever do it. Cars and bicycles have replaced our ability to travel at great and small distances and yet we still have track events culminating in the olympics.

Took them long enough, This was predictable and dangerous. It's a real shame because Elon's goals of allowing an unrestricted AI are somewhat noble even if the execution is haphazard and horrendous. The combination of X's userbase and that technology made this almost inevitable.

Amazing that this what finally brought them down, BBC editorial has been so awful for so long. The worst part being that it is so obvious in its agenda's. I really don't expect anything to change though the establishment will protect itself at all costs.

It could have been but what we say was application inflation where jobs that didn't require a degree suddenly needed one. I think unemployment figures is the most likely one, all we did was saddle a generation with an additional they won't pay back it is one of the worst government decisions of all time.

Yeah but you can't blame China for that, When the west made EV's they made them a luxury product I could have bought a Porsche for the same price as an Audi electron. China made them affordable, its just a better strategy and it paid off.

Its interesting that you mention Corbyn when if you look into the data Starmer got much lower voters than he did but the UK system works in strange ways. I should mention I was one of those that refused to vote for Corbyn on the allegations of anti-semitism but those later turned out to be untrue.

One thing I have to ask about the democrats and a fear of Corbynism is shutting down primaries really and effective way to prevent one? Voters aren't stupid and the not being able to freely choose their candidate since Obama isn't going to help.
