I tried using this to learn some basics of Mandarin Chinese. It was frankly a disastrous UX. I have no idea how to begin a useful lesson, the AI just started talking at me in full on Mandarin and asked me questions in Mandarin. How am I supposed to engage with this as a complete beginner?
The text generation and speed of speech also seems painfully slow at this time.

This is a marketing gimmick and a frankly fraudulent claim. They edited a few genes in a wolf genome and called it a job well done ready for marketing. However, this is not a true recapitulation of the ancient genome of the dire wolf, rather a crude attempt at it. I’m not impressed.

I really dislike your suggestion to eliminate the timer. You frame it like it’s objectively the better choice since you’re a professional - however it’s not. It’s a design decision that leads to a sense of urgency that many players enjoy. Games don’t need to be for everyone. This drive towards the most universally appealing, milquetoast design decisions neuters games.

It seems like Andreas abandoned SerenityOS and Jakt with it, and moved on to Ladybird. The language died with this move. The project was always very clearly “for fun” so I don’t see any harm or foul here. I also got the sense that there was a falling out between Andreas and some members of the community, like JT and one of the major JavaScript engine contributors whose name I can’t recall right now. Or maybe it was just that the passion for this particular project dried up.

You can get pretty far through imputation. SNPs can reveal plenty about the rest of your genome even if it hasn’t been directly sequenced. Reference populations and linkage disequilibrium go a long way.
