<p>This is categorically not what happened during the industrial revolution, you're thinking of the second industrial revolution and even then it's a less rosy picture. The first industrial revolution did not lead to rapid growth and in fact led to brutal methods to increase cheap resource extraction like children working in coal mines, expanded slavery in the new world, and brutal colonialism.</p>

<p>It isn't automatic for me unless I try to skip a sponsored segment myself, then it will kick in and skip me to the end of that segment with a popup above the scroll bar saying they did so.</p>

<p>Already happened a few times. Japanese streamers have to ask for explicit permission to stream games so they play a lot of western games that allow it, Nintendo didn't allow let's plays for a while, and a game developer didn't like a popular youtuber (pewdiepie I think) and did takedowns of said youtuber playing their game.</p>

<p>Low frequencies travel further, in my house high frequency road noise is annoying but tends to come and go quickly but low frequency road noise I can often hear from literally miles away.</p>

<p>Tires aren't 80% of microplastics pollution, that's a misreporting of the study. They're 80% of the category that includes tires, that whole category is only 11% of microplastics.</p>

<p>Speaking of heat pumps and water heat, I installed both a heat pump and hybrid water heater to save on electricity. The water heater doesn't seem to have made much of a difference in my electrical bill, my guess is the problem is peak demand so I should have gotten a much bigger tank than before. Ambient garage temperature may also be an issue but it exhausts outside and the garage is insulated so it generally stays above 55 degrees.</p>
