Honestly... I just wants a launcher with tabs to sort apps in categories (no not app groups).

Nova Prime almost gone, before that Apex Launcher...

And every other launcher seems to just love to just present a search bar to find your apps and use some magic sorting algorithm to sort your apps...

I want predictable, user ordered apps in tabs so I can open one by heart with my eyes closed.

Been using ed25519-sk with Yubikey for a few years now. Key is stored in KeepassXC and loaded in my SSH agent upon unlock.

It makes my SSH key pretty portable across devices

Although it's very unfortunate this happened, and it shows a lack of security practices, this could happen to any all developer. Compromising other apps you do install.

On my TV the app vanished and after some searching, it was disabled. I was kinda afraid Google had finally (ab)used it's Play Services power to ban it. But luckily it was because the developer marked it as compromised. All and all impact was minimised this way.

I doubt your statement about requiring a Google account to be connected, as you can also import subscriptions instead of granting access to your account.

This guy on YouTube made several videos reviewing these and also doing some WireShark analysis, also on NanoKVM.

Personally I'd never use these on an interned facing network. But they can still be handy for local only.

Context: Made an implementation for reading these when Dutch drivers license model with NFC first came available (model 2014 if I remember correctly)

I tried this last year. It works though it's pretty slow.

I really hate having to also support the Apple ecosystem. Development, CI/CD integration is really poor without having to buy the hardware.
