Yes partly complexity; but also why spend your time trying to get Excel running knowing each update will be a pain when you can just put that time into getting LibreOffice Calc working better.

Wine got a lot of support from games, even today productivity apps are often much less supported.

Keycron are middle of the road decent keyboards, but they are priced much lower then other comparable ones. This makes them much more then a meme brand.

Locked down hardware vendor's proprietary ROMs maybe, true open source Android not so much. Unfortunately one of these matters more then the other.

It is possible they delayed this rise as they didn't want bad news in the run-up to going public; but the is absolutely no way this can touch their fundamental numbers.

Yes a very fun FPGA project; but you will end up more expensive and more power hungry then a Pi Zero W which is more or less perfect for this use-case.

Driving HDMI is way harder then you would guess; extremely fast timing to hit. A naive framebuffer alone won't fit in RAM, whilst not strictly needed it would make it a hard challenge.

This is a much smaller device then anyone has ever exported Godot to.

More practical would be to port https://github.com/gbdk-2020/gbdk-2020 so that https://github.com/chrismaltby/gb-studio could support it.

What would be interesting is if they found a memory unsafe bug. Postgres is a perfect case study of 30 years of C with a bit of CPP; if rewriting in a safer language didn't find anything...
