I created a few songs that I enjoy, but I would never subject anyone from having to listen to it (or worse, deceive them into thinking it's a human creation).

I realistically don't see what other future there is. Either disconnect or adopt anti-grievance local AI, lest you be bombarded with ads and slop everywhere.

The first thing you install on your browser is uBlock, is it not?

Don't get me wrong, I hate this timeline, but the monster is out the box and there is no putting it back in.

I saw https://radicle.dev/2025/08/14/jujutsu-with-radicle at the bottom of the homepage and assumed it meant Radicle was planning to support a native jj protocol to decentralize jj repositories. That's unfortunately not the case.

Is there a plan for jj repositories in radicle proper? I'm very tired of git shortcomings.

Same. I got access to a novel music model and wanted to know what it's like. I generated a very specific style (a cappella choir with complex harmonic layering). Suno was complete garbage 100% of the time. This model, I got one decent piece every 20+ attempts; this is extremely wasteful. Even the ones I enjoyed, the novelty wears off quickly.

As opposed to AI images which you can judge in a split second, it takes minutes of wall clock time to assess if a generation is decent, since you need to listen to it.

Honestly anything from before and including 2024 is probably safe. Everything took off (including the mass uploading to platforms) in late 2024.

Artists appearing in 2025+ are, unfortunately, going to be mostly AI content farms. Real humans will be the exception and we'll somehow have to tell them apart using side channels like live performances.
