I’ve rarely experienced this. Typically what is requested is code that has unpredictable pauses, takes unbounded time, has two kinds of null, etc.

It’s actually pretty easy to distinguish AI from real text because all AI generated texts have 2.4 children. In aggregate it is indistinguishable statistically but for a given text it’s remarkably easy.

Not really. You can still not use AI. The solid data is that RAM is more expensive than before… so there’s a small case to be made there because of you need a new computer you can’t avoid that.

No, they need the same arch, but you can distill them into a single model. And yes, if you use the API directly Claude will often say it’s an open weight model (likely the ones it was distilled from)

Yeah, who needs censorship when Canadians attend no kings protests about a democratically elected leader of another country and not King Charles.
Ask Claude a simple question, which is a more democratic country El
Salvador or Canada. It’s so completely biased about “western” countries it’s not even funny.

To be fair to Anthropic it’s not really a frontier model at this point.
But I’m glad the government took his claims seriously and the models are suspended until an appropriate regulatory framework can be developed.

Probably the same reason a Epyc 9965 from hetzner performs just as well as one from AWS for one tenth the cost.
Anthropic is offering a commodity product and trying to convince you it isn’t.
It’s even in the name, it’s a myth and a fable. Never happened doesn’t exist.
Also I believe at least on coding that qwen is now the frontier model, fable is its copy of frontier models. In the same way that the Ferrari Luce is an expensive imitation of a SU7 Ultra.

When I think of socialism I think of everything from Trump and to the left of Trump.
Brazil/Argentina/Trump style tariffs, banning the import of DJI/BYD/Huawei, etc. and yes china is socialist too.
I’m not American I don’t really think of America as capitalist wonderland.
And yes cheap Bolivian subsidized gas is wonderful, same with subsidized Argentinian everything, 3:1 blue dollar etc. let me explicitly thank their populace for subsidizing many vacations and day to day living costs.

There’s a bit of a difference in people dying of starvation vs obesity. Unless there is some kind of capitalist force feeding going on.
Especially when the year before the agricultural reforms there was minimal starvation.
