I'm not against vertical scaling and stuff, but 30 db instances in one server is just crazy.

That's good, people who need E2EE shouldn't use TikTok either way, there are plenty of other secure apps for that.

TikTok is a social media app, and it gets heavily abused as it is.

Don't know what they're using for sending emails, but that's something that should be handled by their email service provider, unless they're hosting their own email servers.

I mean, let's face the reality, do you really think anything worthwhile in regards to tech projects will ever come out of government initiatives? I doubt it, especially in the EU.

The closest thing to an alternative office suite from an European company is Proton, and even that is barely a replacement.

This is good, but don't think it will change much. The EU suffers from bureaucracy and disparate rules for each country, which is a pain in the ass for startups, it really needs unification on taxes, and less rules.

As a B2B SaaS founder, I've been thinking recently whether there is still space for doing new, innovative things in this space.

Feels like for most things, there's already an existing solution, and all you can do is build something a bit better, but even the room for improvement on existing solutions seems small.

I mean, yes, I know that there are still some business sectors that rely on old crap corporate technology with more potential for improvement, but those sectors seem boring.

It feels like it resembles the late phase of the industrial revolution.
