Nokia correctly predicted that iPhone would stand for "coolness" factor. It's amazing how Apple carried that brand since its inception and precisely what allows it to levy "Apple tax".

The execs even noted that the downside of iPhone would be non-removable battery. It is commendable that Apple changed the industry standard to something worse without even being in the top 10 in 2008.

I have been receiving various spam texts under the pretext of USPS has lost my mails and would like to reaffirm my address to them. The scammers are pretty smart to build an identical looking to site USPS (pretty easy if they copy CSS but change the endpoint for form submissions). Those with the keenest eyes and a bit of commonsense can dodge these types of phishing.

Sure, but I'm not inclined to believe that number on its own. Practically, even the cheapest grocer like Aldi could turn out to be expensive than the quoted $3.37.

I used to look forward to his takes. Some of the past posts were genuinely insightful, but now all I hear is the cliched difficult road leading to an AGI whose consequences always seem utterly dire for anyone involved, perhaps except OpenAI.

In my opinion, matters of respect and kindness are given more than due consideration at death and perhaps only then for most people. Sure, go to the funeral and pay your respect, show how much they meant to you, but perhaps, do it much before. Do it way before death is even a thing.

The displays on these iMacs are so crisp, but disappointing that 24" only. Happy that the base RAM is increased, perhaps trying to pander to AI audience. But, who buys these at costs almost at Macbook Pros? Isn't this just a monitor?

I agree very much with Paul here. Many a times as I'm thinking, I realize none of those are legitimate thoughts until I can put them in words. Describing your intuition is fundamentally a hard task, because it is trying to decipher the vague strands of reflection. Clarity emerges only when focused harder.

Great platform for invigorating research discussions! But seeing only AI based (or broadly CS based) research as featured papers is a bit discouraging. Perhaps there isn't enough critical mass for other topics yet.
