I remember so well, being in boarding school in the 11th grade and really learning about evolution(might be late haha). It gave me my first ever existential crisis. I really resonate with this article because the awe of biology was so understated in school. It felt like the driest subject ever.

Taking the context of raising children, the ‘unique contribution’ of a lot of parents is traumatising their kids. If it’s helping us make better decisions, I don’t see how that could be worse. I think that translates to all the non creative things you spoke about.

Try not to find an answer to this question. When you feel lonely it’s easy to think of it as an existential which is a problem to solve. It feels like things shouldn't be this way. But what you’re feeling is pretty human natural and arguably the only way you can feel.
No amount of advice will get rid of it. But you can learn to be with it. Okay with it coming and going. It helps to keep in mind that you WILL get through this.
One Caveat. Even though its something that one can live with it. Often these feelings are signals to take action. So if you feel like you want company. Try to look for it.
Hope you get through it

What's interesting is that the hindsight it has now is not going to be what it has in 10 years either. Some of the most wrong and most prescient comments could switch as stuff unfolds. In a way some could both still be wrong and right just at different points in time.
