Agreed. What happens when every company lays off 10, 20, 40% of their staff? AI Agents don't pay taxes and dont participate in a meaningful amount of the consumer economy.

The Iranian guards, along with most of the armies in the second and third tier powers don't have elite anything. Please see Desert Storm, etc. Most of them ran. The ones that didn't were destroyed.

Apparently I can use deadly force most days in the trader joes parking lot - I've had people come that close to hitting me on a weekly basis in Seattle. She made a bad decision that cost her her life. The ICE Agent made an incompetent unprofessional one that took a life. They are not the same.

Appraisals are generally done to ensure that the loan guarantor will be able to recover their investment if the party taking the loan defaults. Therefore, cash offers don't perform appraisals. Cash offers lower risk for the seller and provide fastest time to close the transaction.

As someone who has worked in hypercloud data center expansion and planning - I can confidently say this analysis is um, incomplete. W/out violating NDAs...I'd refer everone to multiple public articles talking about the situation in Ireland, where the hyperclouds are consuming well north of 22% of total energy production.

I’ve been a paid synergy user for 10? years. Works great for multiple computers + OS scenarios. It does flake out very occasionally. I’ll have check deskflow out for some embedded and pi projects I have coming up.

My silly anecdotal theory is that the vagal nerve and the gut are very involved in these various disfunctions for some populations....also see use of SSRIs as off-label solutions for GERD, IBS etc.

Quantity has a quality of its own. Dude named Piketty wrote almost 2k pages about wrt capital accumulation. The opposite of what you propose is what actually happens. For another example, please see Amazon.

Always view the negging of non-orthodox approaches to anything by the WSJ as anything but surprising. Furthermore, cui bono with respect to potential outcomes? I think it's the pharma industry.

Did 15? seconds of fact checking the blog post since, as a home owner, it seemed wrong based on my little experience researching, purchasing and installing kitchen appliances in my own home. Midea controls 90% of the countertop microwave market. Even then, Panasonic, GE and others still manufacture their own. GE, whirlpool and Samsung control the Lionshare of the US market ~ 55% AND there is some evidence that the market for microwaves is growing at ~5% per year. I think there are better examples of total monopolies out there that the author could have chosen.

I sold my MazdaSpeed 3 due to a parasitic drain - it was at the dealership for 4 months at one point - with no resolution.

I agree. Furthermore, imagine if the police were measured by the number of crimes they actually prevented versus the number they documented. Yes, I realize that these are orders of magnitude of difficulty in difference. The important thing being that one is what they are expected to do, the other what they actually do.
