From Bot Sentinel's About Section:
"Instead of creating a model based on our interpretation of a troll or bot, we used Twitter rules as a guide when selecting Twitter accounts to train our model. We searched for accounts that were repeatedly violating Twitter rules and we trained our model to identify accounts similar to the accounts we identified as “trollbots.”"
That's not a bot.

Who earns $1B as income? I seriously don't think that is a thing. The big earning usually happens when companies or stock gets sold. And yes, it would hurt incentive and takes away funding from capital investment.

Same with campaign funding laws. I'd rather there be almost no laws but full transparency. How do you measure the funding impact of constant press coverage?

Just because a property is unoccupied or unused doesn't mean it isn't owned by someone. You are still suggesting theft of private property. Just because a majority of people vote for something doesn't mean it is morally good. I think taxes are theft and immoral but I accept them because of what I believe about human nature.

I think it has much more to do with population. Sweden, Norway, Denmark all have populations less than 10M. Size of government, including tax rates, I would argue, factor more into a country's overall cultural profile which taken as a whole likely correlates with inequality.

The quotes are by individuals associated with the organizations, it doesn't appear to be the official position of the think-tanks. I think it is unfair to call the Brookings Institute a "right-wing pay-to-play lobbying group" but you are just sourcing from a left-leaning activist group.

Just FYI, this figure that gets used comes from the high end of a range that is estimated from 20 million to 100 million for a population of North America around 1500. The estimate for Europe is around 50 million to 60 million.

This might be putting the cart before the horse but is it easier to implement these kinds of policies when they are mandated by a central authority? I'm thinking about nationalized healthcare here. This is the type of banal evil that the free market can stand against. The moment the word gets out about the practice that isn't forcing sterilization, I'd imagine they'd go there if the option was available.

I'm five years out of graduating university with a B.S. in Sociology. At some point in that time I realized my love for CS and design-thinking. I decided to try and make a career change. Last month I completed CS50 and should be receiving my certificate soon. I'm also now looking at degree/cert programs to continue my education.
The amount that one can learn from this course is incredible and it really sets you up to continue learning. I also just started the intro to game development today.
