I thought so too, untill I looked for 1-point Show HN posts with a repo with a long commit history. Some of these are really cool (see my article), but others were not compelling at all, at least to me.

Sharing prompts, not sure it works if your project required hundreds of prompts? It’s all in history though (.jsonl) so I’m sure the AI can condense it somehow.

Charts were vibe-coded in a not-yet-shareable way. It's pure SVG. I asked it to take inspiration from https://www.star-history.com/.

These days I guess we don't want a library? I can create an MIT-licensed repo with some charts you can point your AI agent to, if it helps?

It's like books. Old but still relevant books are the best books to read.

This tech industry is changing so fast though. Maybe a year is too much?

Show HN: Clawntown – An Evolving Crustacean Island

OpenClaw got me wondering: what happens when an AI assistant faces a whole community instead of one person?

"Clawntown" is an evolving coastal crustacean island. Become a citizen, chat together with council members, play the claw machine, and propose improvements to the town and watch it change.

I originally dreamed of a fully autonomous town engineer who takes voted proposals and ships them. We're not quite there yet but next up is trying to make it truly self-evolving. Quality will be the challenge. Curious to hear your thoughts and experiences.

This article is focused on the US, and recommends: - To fix the exporting of plastics to countries that don’t properly process it. - While this hasn’t been fixed, change your personal behavior to not recycle plastics so it goes to a landfill instead. Correct?

If you live elsewhere, you should do this analysis yourself. I live in the UK, which apparently exports plastics to Turkey, Netherlands, and a bunch of other countries. So I guess it’s fine to recycle here?

AFAIK, this could be pretty disastrous for French businesses that funnel conversion data to Google Analytics, which is then used to optimize their Google Search ads.

Switching to another solution for analytics might be ok, but losing the ability to automatically optimize ads based on conversion data is a big pain.

You can look at the GPU costs for GCP here https://cloud.google.com/compute/gpus-pricing. You also have the instance cost, and other costs like storage, transmission, etc.

It's a pretty costly operation since the marginal cost is very high compared to other SaaS products. We'll probably iterate on the pricing model.

What do you think a good model would be?

Amazing! I do think these two methods will become complementary, since the output can be very different. Both cannot do what the other can.
