Gated communities around me have 2 lanes, one with a sensor activated gate for residents and a guest lane next to the guard hut

If it's busy and you pull up in a nice enough car and just wait in front of the sensor gate looking annoyed, the guard will eventually just let you in

I think most people would rather have their car circle the block indefinitely, rather than pay for parking and wait for their car to summon, which would create so many new traffic problems.

I'm picturing herds of empty Model 3's endlessly circling every city's downtown office district

There are fine tuned models out there that can generate near photo-realistic results. The base SD models and those offered by the major AI service sites have a more stylized look to them. Probably partially to work on a wider array of prompts that may include non photorealistic subjects, and partially for safety.
