I went digging out of curiosity, and it seems you are correct. According to this article [1], around 80 of the top 100 airports have rapid transit connections.

Simply no reason for skilled labour to go to Japan and learn Japanese than to go towards the West with higher salaries, no language requirements other than English and easier immigration paths.

There is also the terrible image of the Japanese work culture which is not going away anytime soon.

You still have to surrender your Indian passport within 3 months to avoid getting prosecuted.

This process also includes a visit to their embassy, giving them your original naturalisation certificate and photocopies of your new passport.

Takes about a month to receive a certificate from India for proof but definitely not as bad as what you described.

The .bharat Internationalized TLD is already available in 22 Indian languages [1]. It isn't available in English however.

I personally don't think .in is going away anytime soon. The question you pose is already being pondered upon, like here [2].

Also to be honest, shouldn't this have been better unit tested? Considering aviation is a ~ £60 billion industry for the UK.
