The year is 2026 the average RAM for the most common type of developer’s (web) machine is 16GB. 8 will be the lower end. Tell me which model can one run on this machine locally?

If we are bring reductive, the grand theft auto games were drive here, shoot that kind of deal. Call of duty was shoot till objective completes until 4 came around. Those never felt repetitive to me because there was a story going on, there was a deep lore to the characters and places in the map and those were changing with me.

I can still replay them to completion. Feel relieved when help arrives after securing the little hill after normandy beach in call of duty 2. It takes so long but it’s worth it.

I’ve only ever felt the core gameplay loop repetitive on strategy games where every new challenge is the same one as last but bigger with a more complex inventory if that makes sense.

I don’t think this is the right way to see this.

Why should a file backup solution adapt to work with git? Or any application? It should not try to understand what a git object is.

I’m paying to copy files from a folder to their servers just do that. No matter what the file is. Stay at the filesystem level not the application level.

You're both right. AI can be used to do either fast releases or well designed code. Don't say both, as you're not making time, you're moving time between those two.

Which one you think companies prefer? Or if you're a consulting business, which one do you think your clients prefer?

Thanks for sharing. It's stories like these I've read since childhood that got me into this. Those little adventures into remote places to work on some computers. This was my version of Indiana jones.
