How would they make money from the tokens then haha? The main revenue driver of these companies is to get people to use more tokens. That’s what they will optimise for. Getting the developers out of the way is the way to do it.

In it's current form, homebrew is amazing. It's not that slow and recent updates have made it really good to use. May I know the reasons for a Rust rewrite?

You're welcome.

Great thing about it is it's a just a binary that you can fetch using curl anywhere, and then do ./sendme send and on the other machine type the command sendme tells you to in the terminal. The transfer is resumable as well, as long as the computer sending it doesn't stop the process.

I also like SendMe [0]. I’ve used it to share files between local PC and server sometimes. And also to send large files to friends without cloud links. It’s written in Rust and based on iroh p2p library [1].
