Absolutely not. Total waste. Nothing but regret about it. I graduated 13 years ago, and I'm still paying on it.
The valuable "education" came after, wasn't related to the school curriculum, and was mostly learned on the job.
Some professions require the pedigree, in those cases, you have no choice but to play the game.
If you want to get educated, take the courses that align with your chosen vocation, don't bother with following a degree track. It's not worth the money/hassle. Also, and this is key, marry what you learn with hands-on doing of the stuff you're covering in class.
Get into an internship/apprenticeship. Learn a trade.
The "you have to go to college to be successful" mantra is a lie. And we've saddled ourselves (and our kids) with this idea and the horrendous debt that comes with it.
It's a terrible, terrible idea.
"I have never let schooling interfere with my education" - Mark Twain

No, we cannot be fine without reading. That's my strong opinion.
I think AI is definitely a tool, but if we outsource all of our thinking, I think that it will become detrimental to our existence, that we certainly would not thrive from doing so.
Reading is one of the primary ways we learn, and engage our minds.

I want to love Linux on the desktop as much as the next Linux fan, but I always end up coming back to the Mac (begrudgingly).
I really liked Windows when WSL came out, but the direction Microsoft seems to be going makes me want to run the other way.
Windows or macOS... for the hardware working well, generally just works as expected. The tradeoffs you make with each, are different. But it's usually not a hardware thing, as to why (in my experience).
I just put Linux on a 5th-gen ThinkPad P1. It works... mostly. Sound works... at about 50% volume of what Windows or macOS would output. This has consistently been an issue with me, every time I've tried to use Linux on the desktop.
It ends up being some set of compromises to use Linux.
And when video is a frequent part of my work and personal use... the quality of it on Linux just doesn't cut it.
For server usage... forget it. Linux wins, hands down. Zero contest. :D

Does this do something like TextExpander and Keyboard Maestro? is that the general idea?
The one thing I really can't stand about macOS is "Secure Input". It won't let you use something like TE or KM to input a password. You're forced to copy and paste.
As far as I understand, you can't disable that feature either... because securiteh! :/
