Being able to read and translate Egyptian hieroglyphs. You may think this is silly but a trained LLM to translate hieroglyphs would be amazing.

Been running tests, seems pretty capable but less knowledgeable, and the CoT reminds me of GLM, so if I had to guess it's almost definitely a Chinese model, and likely a western RL trained variant of a Chinese open weight.

You have your dates and models wrong, it was Opus 4.5 released in November 2025, that changed everything, Opus 4.6 was released in February 2026.

It's quite telling, they've paused new signups because Microsoft doesn't have enough compute, and they moved Opus to only being accessible on a higher tier because Anthropic doesn't have enough compute either.

They're all operating at a loss, enshittification is coming for us all.
