Sometimes the value of these experiments is just going through the motions, and sometimes it is doing one or two parts different and getting different results, good or bad we learn something from them.

I have 5 computers at home, running Mac, Windows, and Ubuntu Linux. I've been using PC's regularly since the 286 age, and Windows 11 is terrible, I don't want to logon to your online services in any shape or form.
The windows operating system does more to disrupt my work flow than it does to assist it, the WSL layer so you can do any development helps, but I'm only using Windows at this point for games, and even then I barely play them so I'm mostly running Windows on one of my systems because it is already installed.
If apple / linux up the game support I would most likely never use Windows again.

Restaurants that don't have physical menus, and only QR codes. The solution when you don't bring a phone is they bring you their tablet. Why?

Stepping away from the work to find inspiration, to allow the subconscious time to process everything, to present your conscious mind ideas is necessary. I try to pick a wild or almost outlandish idea from time to time, because if I only try what I think will work, then I'm not doing my job.

Interesting, I'll test that out, I have been working on retrieval approximations and this is the learned version of it, so hopefully I can push this beyond what I'm working on.

I'm the same age as you, and the web we knew is already dead, the parts that migrated to apps are in decline. For example, I can't see myself using reddit for much longer with the amount of bots that are on there now.
