The user experience for a rest api and for mcp can be the same. For MCP, you have to give the mcp server url. For REST, you could provide a url to the openapi spec. The open API spec has everything you'd need - oauth url + all the endpoints and params.
Most chat products will just have a directory of connectors anyways - so for non technical folks they won't even here the term MCP or REST, they'll just "Install the Gmail plugin".

I think we should let autonomous, shared EVs use bus lanes (just like how some cities let taxis use them). They are just so good for society.

Just scale your small bus further down and you get a cybercab/waymo. It gets full easily but its routes are fully customizable and you never have to change lines and it runs at all hours with no wait. Ohh and its actually way cheaper to run per passenger mile. IMO shared, electric, autonomous AVs are the best solution for mass transit for 90% of the routes

ok sorry - can you explain more why it'd be a game changer to stream the tool call. Whats an example tool call that this would help with. Most of the time the tools I want called are at the end of the conversation (i.e. "summarize what we talked about and email it to me"). Or if its in the middle of the conversation, we can just carry on the conversation while the tool call is happenning in parallel..

Not a sound argument because you would have said the same thing before they did Starlink. "The TAM for launch services is finite. There are only so many countries/companies that want to launch satellites."

You’re avoiding the point of the question. Do you think you hand driving in any other car is safer for your kids than having fsd drive? Yes or no.
If you’re answer is fsd is safer for your kids then fine, you choose to trade off some (maybe marginal safety) in order to not support a company you don’t like. I understand that. If your answer is that hand driving is safer, then I don’t know how to convince you otherwise because having used it and seeing the published data it’s so much obviously safer than me driving. And I’ve been driving for 30+ years

for your kids safety, would you rather do 30,000 miles in HW4 FSD in a Tesla or hand driven in any other car of your choosing? doing 30K miles in a waymo isn't an option.

air suspension, heated and air cooled comfortable leather seats, 15 high quality speakers, everything is soft to the touch (minus the window switches), super fast high quality software (that alone is a huge draw for me, most other cars have terrible software)
honestly don't need much more than that - yes it doesn't have a fridge or massaging seats or whatever, but thats usually in cars with a higher price point too
