True, I see so many posts along the lines of 'I am a quasi programming god with no time on my hands (apart from time wasted here) so I will gladly pay $10,000 a month to Anthropic if it makes me 1% more effective than if I were to use GLM'

That's the whole point though, no? Enterprises have a totally different mindset and are not willing to overlook hiccups. So they haven't found PMF with their long-term target audience until they have learned how to sell to and build for those clients

Yeah, they raise a massive round on traction from other YC companies then need to find the real Product Market Fit (enterprise and others) after that round. It's actually very inefficient

With open weight models there is true inference competition. Whoever can serve the model at the lowest price. And the consumer wins. Capitalism, served by China.
