Agree with the first part - but I can run GPT OSS 20b, a highly capable model on my laptop with 32GB of RAM at speeds that for all practical intents is as fast as GPT-5.4 and good enough for 90%+ of non-technical use cases.

As such I can't agree with "The only hope for a handheld execution of a practical, and capable AI model is both an algorithmic breakthrough" - we are much closer than 15/20 years to get these on a phone

Day trading too, and day trading led us down this path. Everyone is a gambler now. All morals are out the window.

On a side note, I find it incredible crypto trading/day trading/meme stock trading etc is not recognised as a bigger societal problem. It is 100% gambling and has the same negative externalities associated with it. But none of the tools gambling companies need to abide by (blocklists, warnings, limits, etc) apply to trading.

Love my JBL in-ear wired headphones but I can only use them when sitting still. When I walk with them they 'rustle' like crazy (don't know how else to describe the sound)
