I’d venture to say it’s the range:

What style? Is it a texture? If so, I’ll need a model that can generate a large tiled image. Is it a logo? What kind? Is it badged, vintage, corporate, etc

Another potential alternative would be some sort of book wheel. Where the book surface is wide enough to accommodate the desk's surface. Each surface could then have its own layout to suit its unique purpose.

I share your frustration with electronics. I'd love to be able to simply shove it all back into the wall once I'm done. Power supply, soldering iron, components and all.

I have to imagine much of this comes down to the fact that VR games, which have additional hardware requirements, necessarily cater to a much smaller segment of the market. Selling an indie game is already hard enough!

Finally bought a rice cooker 6 months ago. No idea why I hadn’t done it sooner. Perfect rice every single time. I believe that qualifies.

Edit: I also bought an emergency jumpstart battery for my car. Saved me twice when my battery suddenly started having issues. Went from feeling “stuck” to back on the road in under 2 minutes.

OP, I would replace or rework the icons on your landing page. The stroke width varies as does its color which undermines the rest of the design. Apart from that, nice job!

I’d never considered the kinship a mason might feel, taking up the work of restoring or repairing the work of a predecessor who may have died hundreds of years before.

It served to remind me to be grateful my dad is still alive and to engage in a similar reflection.

I just so happen to be working on one! It stemmed from my dissatisfaction with the existing meal tracking apps I’ve tried.

Initially I’d wanted to track spending as well but apps like YNAB cover this use-case better than I can in the near term so I struck it from the roadmap.

I’m trying to focus on health: meal planning and workout scheduling in a system flexible enough to make suggestions as your exercise regimen (and thus your nutritional requirements) change. Will also be looking into sleep tracking and other metrics.

Let me know if there’s anything else you’d want to see from an app like this. Happy to shoot you a link to the repo when the MVP gets off the ground.

I’ve been very happy with Django ninja. It brings in pydantic as well so you get the benefit of type safety in addition to a much faster request response cycle as compared to DRF

Having used Anthropic's products fairly extensively over the last few weeks, I would jump at the opportunity to invest in that company.

Claude 3 Opus has replaced ChatGPT for all of my use-cases to the extent that I'm probably going to cancel my GPT4 subscription. This is for web-based Python and JS work, so YMMV.
