In the gnome file explorer there's 3 different menus, marked only by generic icons, and I always forget the one to open a new tab.

If anyone else wants to be rid of it (courtesy of astra): Set NotebookbarColorTransparency to 255. This removes the colored tint while keeping the ribbon.

Go to Extras → Optionen → LibreOffice → Erweitert → Experteneinstellungen. Search for NotebookbarColorTransparency. Double-click the matching row under org.openoffice.Office.Common → Misc. Change 150 to 255. Confirm with OK, close the settings, and restart LibreOffice.

Before we I introduced an MDM at work, I can tell you, 80% of users were running apps from .dmgs from their desktop.

I'll leave it to the reader to decide if that means the process is "intuitive".

It is indeed ridiculous. In the UK all bank cash machines are free no matter which bank you're from. My Girocard charges me 7€ for out of house withdrawals.
